The Fokker GI, fighter cruiser, nicknamed 'the Mower', was an attack fighter designed in 1934 by Ir. Marius Beeling and Dr. Ir. Erich Schatzki.

There is some controversy about the naming and type designation of the G.1.
The "A" and "B" are said to be post-war designations, with Fokker using the names “Large G.1” or “G.1 Mercury” for the G.1A and “Small G.1” or “G.1 Wasp” for the G.1B.
Here too, sources contradict each other and we base our findings on Hegener and the 1939-1945 Loss Register of the Ministry of Defence.
