From 1922 to 1926, the Dutch sports aircraft instructor Willem van Graft worked as chief of the start crew at Fokker.
In 1926 van Graft bought the fuselage of an S.II and the wings of an S.III for an administration fee.
In his house in Amstelveen he assembled the plane and it was given the name S.II-½.
