Accountability
Fokker-History.com aims to provide as complete a picture as possible of the aircraft built by or on behalf of Fokker and also of the life of Antonij Herman Gerard (Anthony) Fokker.
The website was first launched on July 10, 2018. The initial goal was to digitize Chiel's scrapbooks.
Scrapbooks full of photos and stories about Fokker.
Soon, someone else who was also a Fokker enthusiast came forward and made his collection and knowledge available. This continued, with Fokker, aviation enthusiasts, and writers joining, some of whom later left.
Visitors regularly sent their Fokker-related photos with accompanying stories.
The site has grown organically to its current size with more than 400 pages and more than 6,000 images.
We are also indebted to the archives of the Aviodrome in Lelystad, a true treasure trove of original material.
Special thanks go to Klaas and Ronald for their sometimes harsh, but always constructive criticism.
Also many thanks for providing visual material.
The site has no scientific pretensions. We're more like a giant Wikipedia page.
Nevertheless, we have always tried to check our information with available sources.
Where sources contradict each other, we report this as well.
The team wishes you a pleasant reading.
