The C.III was a normal C.I, but equipped with the 220 hp Hispano-Suiza engine.
A number were delivered to Spain in 1922.
It was used as a scout and a transitional training aircraft by the Spanish army.
The C.III may also have been delivered to Russia.
With this type ends the series of scouts, derived from the C.I.
