Preliminary translation
The Fokker S.IV has been the most used training aircraft at the Soesterbergse Vliegschool (flight school) of the LVA.
From 1924 to 1940 it was the standard trainer of the Air Force.
A total of 31 S.IVs were built, which flew with the LVA in the Indies in addition to the LVA.
Like the S.III, the student and the instructor sat one behind the other in the S.IV.
The S.IV was also strongly built and and could endure severe abuse..
Wingspan: 11.20 m, length 8.50 m, height 3.20 m and wing area 27.60 m^2
Max speed: 150 km/h, cruising speed 130 km/h, landing speed 68 km/h, ceiling 3000 m flight range 700 km

Engines of the S.IV
FOKKER S.IV 1924
Like the famous Tiger Moth, the S.IV biplane, developed in 1924, seemed to have eternal life. This type succeeded the obsolete S.III aircraft that were used for the initial training of pilots.
From 1924, the S.IV was used on Soesterberg until well into the thirties.
Most of the aircraft were equipped with a 130 hp Armstrong Siddeley Mongoose radial engine, although the 110 hp Siemens, the 130 hp Bristol Lucifer, the 130 hp Clerget and the 110 hp Oberursel rotary engine were also used.
A total of 31 aircraft were built in Amsterdam.
Presumably this is the prototype of the S.IV with a 110 hp Oberursel rotary engine.
The 118 at Soesterberg.
The 100 of LVA in full flight.
This is what the S.IV will look like, which is being rebuilt in Hangar T2 at the Aviodrome.
In addition to the frame, there are many more original parts already in-house, including the engine.

The S.IV '103 with a Bristol Lucifer engine of 130 hp.
Right next to it a Fokker D.XVI.
The S.IV '118' crashed in May 1940.
It is a rare photo because of the orange triangle on the training plane.
The 107 of the Aviation Department at Soesterberg airport.
The Fokker S.IV '119'' of the LVA at Soesterberg.
The engine is 130 pk Bristol Lucifer.

Or is this already on Aviodome at Schiphol Center?
In any case, this frame is now (December 2020) in the T2 hangar at the Aviodrome in Lelystad.
There a new Project Group is rebuilding this S.IV.
They still miss a picture of the two instrument panels.
A rare photo of the S.IV 'FS58'.
This flew with the LA in the Dutch East Indies.
The aircraft had a 130 hp Cleget engine.
An S.IV with a 150 hp Armstrong Siddeley mongoose engine is cranked up.
The Fokker S.IV 112 of the LVA with instructor, good weather and pleasant company.
This S.IV is equipped with a 150 hp Armstrong-Siddeley Mongoose engine of 150 hp.
This recording was made at Soesterberg Airport.
The same 112 from LVA Aviation Department.
In any case, this is also a Fokker S.IV.
If airworthy, these training aircraft will fly from 1924 to 1940.
Then most of them are destroyed on the ground or in the air.
The LVA 106 is equipped with a 110 hp Oberursel engine.
That engine was also in the prototype.
Then this plane was later delivered to LVA as 106 or another registration number.
The remaining frame of an S.IV later went to Museum Aeroplanorama.
From there it arrives at Aviodome at Schiphol Center .
In 1983, the training aircraft at Schiphol East was repainted in the Fokker paint shop at Schiphol East.
In 1983 the frame was again exhibited in Aviodome and later Aviodrome in Lelystad.
From that moment on, the choice is made to call the S.IV 100.
Here is a photo probably taken in 1983 still in Aviodome of the restoration team.
The aircraft with motor and wings has been in the Aviodrome collection in Lelystad for years.
There a new crew is working on its completion.
