The Science museum is located in the center of London, on Exhibition Road.
The museum's roots go back to 1857.
On the top floor of the museum is an aviation collection that includes about 30 aircraft.
This collection includes a unique Fokker aircraft.
The Science Museum's aviation collection is bigger than it is on display
can become. A number of aircraft are on permanent loan to other museums.

Hanging from the ceiling at the aviation collection is this original Fokker E.III (M.14) 210-16 with cn 509.
This legendary E.III (M.14) landed on a British airfield in St. Omer in 1916 after the German pilot got lost.
It was then tested by the British and included in the collection of the Science Museum in 1918.
Both the fuselage and the wings of the aircraft have been stripped of the linen, so that the entire aircraft structure is clearly visible.
