The Swiss Transport Museum, Lidostrasse 5 in Lucerne, was opened in July 1959 and displays various forms of transport such as trains, cars, ships and airplanes.
The aviation collection consists of dozens of aircraft and helicopters, including one Fokker aircraft.
The Fokker F.VIIA in the collection is one of the two aircraft of this type that have been preserved.
The HB-LBO with cn 5005 was in Swiss service from 1927 to 1948.
First with Balair and later with Swissair. From 1939 to 1948 the aircraft was mainly used for sightseeing flights.
In 1938/39 the original engine was replaced by a Wright Cyclone of 720 hp, hence the different hood model on the HB-LBO.
The aircraft was stored in 1950, restored in 1966 and exhibited in the Verkehrshaus from 1972.
