The F.III-W was not designed as seaplane, but merely a trial version with an existing F.III land based airplane.
F.III cn 1600, which was shipped to the USA as a land based plane, had the landing gear removed and after a re-calculation of the center of gravity, appropriate floats were mounted underneath.
The rudder was enlarged and a dorsal fin was added to the back of the fuselage.
It remained a as a test and never went into production, probably due to lack of interest.
